In the second quarter of 2025, the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in Europe demonstrated varied performance trends, reflecting shifts in user engagement and download patterns. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into these trends.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 242K at the end of March and climbing to over 322K by the end of June. This upward trajectory was mirrored in its weekly active users, growing from about 15.9M to nearly 19.8M over the quarter.

Airbnb experienced a robust increase in downloads, reaching around 230K by the end of June from 183K at the quarter's start. The app's active user base also grew steadily from 7.3M to about 8.6M.

UK ETA had a noticeable decline in downloads from 359K in the first week of April to about 122K by the end of June. However, weekly active users showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter at approximately 362K.
